Almost There!!!

It's a few days late but I wanted to share a quick update about our progress thus far. I am currently 39 weeks pregnant which means our baby is term and could come any day now!!! We are excited! We went to the doctor on Monday for a checkup and heard Little Bit's heartbeat. Sounded good at about 145bpm. I was about 1 cm dilated so we've got a ways to go but the doctor said he's still head down and in position for his grand entrance!
I'm still having really bad sciatic back pains and can't stand up straight for more than about 5 minutes before I have to sit down or lay down. Laying down feel best but I have the energy to do things now so it's been a trying week of desire to get things done vs. resting like my body is telling me. Here's a pic of what our little guy likely looks like at this point:
Space is tight and I'm rather uncomfortable but it's tolerable. I'm not sure how mama-to-be of twins, like sister-in-law Ashley, did it!?

OH! I haven't taken any pictures of the whole nursery but I wanted to share our absolutely AMAZING mural. Without further ado....

My dear friend Hilary painted this for Little Bit back in April!! I sent her this picture of the bedding and she showed up on Friday afternoon and by Sunday morning...DONE! It is SOOO cute and perfect for the room! Thank you Hilary!! If anyone is looking for a great mural artist near Greensboro...check her out!!

I will try to put some more pictures up of the nursery after LB's arrival but right now all photos have been dumped onto the laptop and the camera is in the bag ready to head to the hospital! :)

Prayer Request Update and a few Belly Pics :)

Thank you for all the prayers and thoughts for us this week. We have good news and bad news. Last Sunday was an exhausting day of pictures taken at the beach . . .

and then to Topsail Beach to see our long time friend David K. get married. FUN! But exhausting!
On Monday, I didn't feel well but figured I had overdid it the day prior. While at work, I noticed that Little Bit was turning and moving A LOT. After about two hours of dealing with this "weird" feeling, I started to have back pains. Long story short, I woke up on Tuesday morning and I could not get out of bed. I couldn't stand up or sit up and do anything without pain shooting down my legs and pain pretty much everywhere. I called Nate and told him we had to go to the doctor and soon.
We spent a few hours at the hospital being checked out. It turns out that Little Bit had turned head down!!! (on my dad's birthday by the way!) I was having mild contractions and the back pain was likely from his new location and they sent me home to rest.
I am still in a lot of pain and laying down is about the only way I can get some relief from the back pain. I think Little Bit is hitting on my sciatic nerve, too. We are all healthy and he was still pretty far up there. As Nate says "the turkey isn't done yet" so he's still cooking away safe and secure.

We have a bunch of pictures coming but the photographer shared a few edited ones with us for now. Now presenting...the Wilgus baby belly.....

This photographer is looking to expand her portfolio so she is actually going to take pictures AT the hospital for us for free! So if things work out, we'll have pictures from the birth (NOT of the birth but during birthing!) to share with everyone.


Monday will be 2 weeks til LB's due date!!!
