28 Weeks 3D ultrasound

As promised, here are some more pictures of our little guy from March 31st. We got to go to Wilmington while Nate's mom was visiting us and had quite a good time. We even got to eat a great meal at Macaroni Grill! YUM!

Again, he was being stubborn and did not move...at all! So...I got another full caffeine Coke!
The lady was super nice to us and worked with me for about 15 minutes. She even put headphones on my belly to try and get him moving around. Apparently he was tired because nothing seemed to help get him going but we got some good shots of his face and feet! Here I am sipping on the Coke with the blue gel waves on my belly, hehe!
And here's our little guy....
At the beginning when he was all snuggled up with me.

Still snuggled up with me but he kept putting his arm up and had his hand on his head. The ultrasound lady said that we may see him sleep like this after he is born.

A good profile-like shot.

Another profile shot.

Hehe, here he is with his mouth open and his tongue sticking out a little.

Big ol' baby feet!

Yup, I think they are going to be like Daddy's!

Settling in again to snuggle up to Mom!

The ultrasound lady was pretty sure at this point that he opened his eyes!

Hope you enjoyed the newest pictures of our little guy! Oh and after I posted the other day that he doesn't kick me too much...he had the busiest day EVER yesterday! He did not stop for hours and hours and you could see my stomach moving as he pushed his feet or butt down the middle of my belly.

Love,
~Stacy

Almost TWO months....I'm sorry!!!

Howdy gang! I'm super sorry that we haven't put any updates out here in almost two months.

Hi5, Xanga, Tagged, Blogger Comments @ 123glitter.com

It sure seems like time has flown by and we haven't stopped moving at all. All in all, things here are going well. I have some pictures to share from Taz's first snow day in January, my baby shower in Virginia back in March, some more 3D ultrasound pictures from 28 weeks, and the mural in the nursery that my super awesome friend Hilary painted for us!

With that said, here's the update on us. Nate is doing well. He is working really hard right now around his shop and all the long hours are exhausting. He has Spanish classes at 6am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and then physical training just about every Tuesday and Thursday. Right now, he doesn't feel well because he's got a cold - which - probably came from me. I had an ear infection and sore throat about two weeks ago and had just started to feel better when my back started acting up again. Yeah, I can't stand up straight...again! I haven't been to the doctor yet because I have a checkup next week and I know there isn't much they can do for me while pregnant. Here's a pic of me in the kitchen back in November when I had back pain like this. Here's for your enjoyment....

And yes, that's an ice pack in my pants because that's about all that helped the pain.
And while I'm sharing pictures, here's a shot of Nate and Taz piled up on the couch back in March. :)

If you haven't heard, our little guy's nickname is "Little Bit." Little Bit is doing well. He's moving more and more everyday. He's still laying horizontally and keeps pushing on my right rib cage with his head. He doesn't kick me a lot except after I eat but he does push his feet up into my lungs somewhat often. Monday was 31 weeks and we have starting taking birthing classes. Things are really coming together and we are getting more prepared for his arrival.

I'll work on getting more updates out there soon!

Love,
~S

Nursery

We'd like to share with everyone what we've decided to decorate the baby's room with....

Knights & Dragons!!!

We've already gotten the bedding set and it's really cute. It is more primary colors than pastels and that is exactly what we were looking for! Dragons aren't really common but hopefully the theme will grow with our little guy into his toddler years. If you see something with knights or dragons on it, let us know!

Better Late Than Never...23 weeks!

Wow, it has been almost a month since we last updated you all but....
New Baby Comments
New Baby Comments

Again, life has been really crazy lately! Nate and I haven't stopped for more than a day to rest in about a month. Things seem to be returning to normal now and we are going to make an effort to keep you more in the loop! So, on January 28th, we had our anatomy scan at the naval hospital and they told us then it was a boy! At 19 weeks, he weighed about 9ounces and was quite a wiggle worm! I wasn't thinking about it but I had a glass of orange juice after breakfast about an hour before our scan started. He flipped end over end within the first two minutes she had the ultrasound on him.

Then on February 13, we went to Wilmington and had a 4D ultrasound done! Granny Wood and Mom St.Clair came to visit us and got to see the whole thing. Unfortunately, the video is over a gigabyte and I can't get it to upload....but...here are some of the pics! :) Oh, just a quick note - our little guy is still pretty little here at 21 weeks and you won't see much fat on him.

Regular ultrasound shot of his manhood

His boy parts are in the middle sticking up

ALL the boy parts (bottom right corner)

Our little thinker

A closeup of his little face

With his mouth open

He KEPT his hands up near his face during most of the ultrasound!

Baby fingers!

Stop taking my picture already! (oh he doesn't know what he's got coming!)

Kickboxing practice

Big stretch!

If we can get the video uploaded, it will be more obvious but I did not have any orange juice before the 4D ultrasound and he was comfortably resting. So much that I had to drink a regular (not caffeine free) Coke to try and get the lil booger moving. The soda had kicked in by the last few pictures for sure!

Alright guys, enjoy the pics and we'll be back with more later.

Baby Update - Week 19

Week 19 info

Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom - about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other an the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
That picture makes me laugh! Our appointment for the "anatomy scan" is TOMORROW MORNING - wish us luck! Send me a text message if you would like to get a text message with what what we are having shortly after we find out.

Love,
~N&S
